With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Willie R Harris on Friday, December 17th, 2021.

Graveside service will be on December 30th, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mt Pilgrim Baptist Church in Greenville Ga.

Visitation will be Wednesday the 29th from 4 to 7 PM at the Sewell Mortuary.

Elder Willie Roger Harris was born on April 11, 1943 to the late Roosevelt and Louise Harris n Greenville Georgia. He entered into his heavenly rest on December 17, at the West Ga. Hospice in Lagrange, Georgia.

Elder Harris attended school in Meriwether County. He worked in the logging industry in his young years. He was a bus driver for many years until he followed his heart to become a fulltime Pastor in the Church Of God In Christ a job he loved.

Elder Harris attended Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church until his health failed. He enjoyed spending time with his family and preaching the Word of God.

Elder Harris was preceded in death by: His wife Betty Scott Harris, 1st wife Mattie Ford Dozier, two sisters Rose Lee Snelling, Catherine Dozier, a brother Mack Harris his Stepson Judson Scott and 12 brother in laws and one sister in law.

Elder Harris leaves to cherish his memory and to celebrate his life a devoted niece Willene Ford, Two Step children Joann (Willie) Snelling, Brenda Scott, Ten Step grandchildren, Five sisters, Lola Ford of Manchester GA, Rosa Mae Ford, of Greenville, GA., Annie Harris, Gloria Harris, Sallie (Andrew) Patterson all of Atlanta, GA. One brother John H. (Earlene) Harris of Greenville, GA. Two Step sisters Louise Bussey of Greenville, GA. Mae Lee Snelling of Manchester GA. Two brothers in laws John Henry Brown, Larry Brown, 7 sisters in laws Sonja (Steven) Johnnie Mae Prather, Christine (Larry) Parks, Mary (Ruben) Hines, Virginia (Ben) Stargell, Virginia Rosser, Emma (Leroy) Godfrey a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
