With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Willie F. Prather Sr. on February 17th, 2020.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 22nd, at 3:00 PM at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gay, GA.

Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary.

Willie Frank Prather Sr. was born on June 8, 1942 in Meriwether County. The Lord called him hone on February 17, 2020. He was born to the late George Crowder and Cora Bell Prather. He leaves behind three siblings to cherish his memories: Annie Lois Hall of Luthersville, GA, William Lee Prather of Newnan, GA and Annette Favors of Senoia, GA. Virgil Prather Cora Mae Prather, Alberta Favors and Magaline Leach preceded him in death. He attended Meriwether County School. He joined St. Paul Holiness Church. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He also loved gardening and fixing on things. Willie Frank Prather Sr. was married to the late Rozell Prather and to this union seven children were born. One preceded in death, Terry Remond Prather. He leaves behind six children: Willie Frank (Wylene) Prather Jr. of Luthersville, GA, Jettie (Emanuel) McGruder of Newnan, GA, Linda Whatley (Michael Moss) of Greenville, GA, Andrew (Sandra) Prather of Woodbury, GA, Bobby (Evangeline) Prather of Luthersville, GA, Sharon Ford (Leroy Cameron) of Hogansville, GA. He also leaves a legacy of love with twenty-one grandchildren and fifty-six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a close friend, Katie Jefferson.
