Willie A Parks
With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Willie A Parks on May 16th, 2024.
A Graveside service will be held at Great Siloam Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Greenville Ga, at 3 PM on May 22nd.
Visitation will be on May 21st, from 4 to 6 PM at the mortuary.
A Time to be Born
Willie Albert Parks was born July 11, 1931, in Meriwether
County to the late Jessie Parks Sr and Ruby Parks Harris. Will
was a member of Greater Siloam Missionary Baptist
Church. He enjoyed gardening and being outside.
A Time to Grow
Willie was married to the late Thelma Parks for 61 years.
A Time to Die
Willie died May 16, 2024 at Newnan Health Rehab.
Those Remembering
Besides his parents, Willie was proceeded in death by his
children Clarence(fat-man) Parks, W.T. Parks, Willie George
(Mary Frances) Hightower, Gertha Waller, Freddie
Hightower, Johnny (Joann) Reeves, his brothers Jessie Parks
Jr, Neal Parks, and Eddie Parks.
He leaves behind five sons, Melvin (Willie Lou) Parks, Willie R.
Parks, Albert L. Parks all of Greenville, GA. Walter Parks of
Ohio and Alfred(Charlotte) Parks of Waverly Hall, GA; six
daughters Juliette Hopson of Grantville, GA, Annie Bell (Ray)
Favors of WarmSprings, GA, Ruby (Jerry) Hughes of
Eastman, GA, Joann Reeves and Bunny Parks of Greenville,
GA, and Jasmine Johnson of Pine Mountain, GA; 29
grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 7 great great
grandchildren; two sisters Rosa Mckee and Mary Murphy;
one brother Leroy (Patricia) Parks, and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends
