Ulice “Pump” Jones was born January 20, 1940 to the late Charlie Jones and Sally Emma Willis in Woodbury, Georgia. He was united in holy matrimony to Mae Verna Jones, wife of 47 years. This union had four daughters. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Veronica Jones; Sisters and brothers: LC Jones, Sally Stargell, Robert L Jones, Mattie K. Anthony, and Virginia Stubb.

He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Mae Verna Jones; Four daughters: Vanessa Jones (her friend Jack) of Stockbridge, GA, Yolanda (Demetrus) Walker of Temple, GA, Christy (Kelly) Benning of Thomaston, GA and Sonya (Deboris) Holt of Warm Springs, GA; Eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; One sister, Mary Lee Wade of Virginia Beach, VA; Three brothers: Willie Frank Jones of Chicago, IL, Charles (Martha) Jones of Atlanta, GA, Willie George (Linda) Jones of Woodbury, GA; Four brother-in-laws: LC Anthony of Woodbury, GA, Wardell (Mildred) Alford of Greenville, GA, Oscar Lee (Tina) of Atlanta, GA, Clifford (Evonne) Alford Jr. of Atlanta, GA: Five sister-in-laws: Mary Geddis of Woodbury, GA, Martha L.
