My life started October 8, 1959 in Warm Springs, GA to the late Sammie Terry and Annie Grace Terry. I was the first of 3 children, then my sister Angela (George) Cooley of Jonesboro, GA. and my brother, Greg (Tonya) Terry of Riverdale, GA. So my mama moved us to Atlanta in my younger years and that’s when my real journey began. I went to Center Hill Elementary and on to West Fulton High School. And from there my life started getting pretty interesting. I was baptized at Sim Avenue Baptist Church by Rev. Faust. I worked at the Holiday Inn downtown Atlanta and then worked at the High Museum of Art for a while. I worked with others in the cleaning service for years. As they say, “all good things come to an end”. This is where my life became amazing on Ruth Street. In my village are my aunts: Johnnie Jones of Jonesboro, GA.; Frances Thomas of Columbus, GA.; and Elaine Terry of Atlanta, GA. My family started growing with my nieces and nephews. My sister has 4 kids, Ramon “Pug” (Kyndra) Terry; Donyale Terry, LaToyia (Hassani) El; and Lindsey Cooley. My brother has 3 boys, Gregory “T. J.” Terry, Jamal Terry, and Kenny Riese. I have 4 great nieces, Ayeesha, Rylee, Sydney, and Armani; I have 3 great nephews, Donovan, Alzair and Makai. And I have a whole bunch of cousins and friends.
