Sam Parks, Jr. was born on April 5, 1949 in Meriwether County. He departed this life on March 1, 2015. The late Sam Parks, Sr. (father) and David Parks (brother) preceded him in death. Sam Jr. worshipped at the Church of Nazarene, until his health failed. Sam’s loving mother (Mary Parks) and devoted sister (Carrie Reeves) provided excellent care for Sam. They never left his side, until the Lord called him home.

His fond memories will forever be cherished by his faithful mother Mary Parks; his sisters, Carrie, Daisie, Nettie and Lucille; his brothers, Bennie (Loretta), Ezekiel and Elisha; nieces, Sylvia (Franklin Ike), Angela (K. Togia), Monica (Gary), Tamika Reynolds, Jasmia Wells, Diamond Parks, Hope Parks, Faith Parks, AviyahTogia, Sabria Hill, Nikkia Hill; nephews, Curtis (Ernesta), Ricky (Connie), Kelvin, Dante (Tammie), Detavius Walker, Demario Walker, Simeon Ike, Bendeze Parks, Caleb Parks; Aunt Emma Reese; Uncle Willie Emmett and Uncle Joe Reese (Glenda); cousins, other relatives and friends.
