Obituary For Nettie Brown
With humble respect, K. K. Sewell Funeral Home in Manchester announces the transition of Nettie Brown on July 18th, 2020.
Graveside Service will be July 25th, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Trinity CME Church Cemetery in Warm Springs.
Visitation will be July 23rd from 3 to 5 PM at KK Sewell Funeral Home.
Visitation will also be from 12 to 7 PM on the 24th at KK Sewell Funeral Home.
We ask that masks be worn.
Mrs. Nettie Mae Brown affectionately known as “Ms. Tootie” was born to the late Minnie Pruitt on December 24th, 1917. She departed from this life on July 18th, 2020 at the Florence Hand Nursing Home in LaGrange, Georgia.
Ms. “Tootie” was a faithful member at Trinity CME Methodist Church and loved singing in the choir for over 30 years. Mrs. Nettie Mae Pruitt was united to Mr. Willie Gene Brown in Holy Matrimony on April 24th, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 30th, 2005. To this union ten children were born. Mrs. Nettie also had 3 grandchildren that preceded her in death: Curtis O’Brian Bussey, Rodney Conley, and Cenica Dunlap; 1 son-in-law Ralph Warrior; and 2 sisters Minnie Lee Harris and Essie Hubbard.
She leaves her 10 children to cherish her memories: her 4 daughters Mrs. Juanita Warrior, Mrs. Minnie Walker, Mrs. Jacqueline (Curtis) Bussey and Beverly Cole; 6 sons Willie Gene (Ella) Brown Jr., Jasper (special friend Teresa) Brown, Oscar (Ann) Brown, Charles Brown, Willie A. (Betty) Brown and Karl Brown. Mrs. Nettie also has a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren 1 niece, 1 nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends all who miss her dearly.
