Obituary For Mildred Ferrell

On July 27, 2016, God came down and called Mrs. Mildred Ferrell to her heavenly home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, July 30, 201 1:00 p.m. Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Gay, Georgia

INTERMENT: Old White Oak Grove Cemetery

Mrs. Mildred Ferrell was born in Meriwether County to the late Clarence and Opal (Mitchell) Wimbish on November 30, 1935. Mildred attended school in Gay, Georgia.

At an early age, she joined Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church located in Gay, Georgia where she served faithfully on the usher board until her health begun to fail. Mildred enjoyed the outdoors, shopping and spending quality time with family.

On February 9, 1957, she married Cecil Ferrell, Sr. and to this union four children were born. Mildred is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Cecil Ferrell, Sr.; loving parents, Clarence and Opal (Mitchell) Wimbish; sisters and brothers, Mossie Mitchell, Eloise Kelly, Christine Alexander and Roger Maynor.

On July 27, 2016, God came down and called Mrs. Mildred Ferrell to her heavenly home. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving family. Her children are Deborah Ferrell, Donna Ferrell, Cecil Ferrell, Jr. of Gay, GA and Gregory (Sherry) Ferrell of Hinesville, GA. Mrs. Mildred Ferrell leaves fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren with loving memories. She leaves one sister, Mimie Maynor and one brother, Hymond (Eula Mae) Wimbish of Gay, GA; one aunt, Katie Sue Wimbish of Senoia, GA; one sister-in-law, Etta Ruth Ferrell of Lithonia, GA and one brother-in-law, Chester (Hazel) Ferrell of Senoia, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
