Obituary For Mary Alice Turner

Mother Mary Alice Turner (Honeybaby), the daughter of the late Andrew and Ellen Barron was born August 10, 1932, in Talbot County, Georgia.

She joined the Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health failed. She served in the choir and on the Mother of the Missionary Board.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Dea. Albert B. Turner and to this union five children were born. One brother, Donnie B. Turner whom preceded her in death; one sister, Leila Mae Parker; three brothers, John H., Robert and Perry L. Barron; three nieces, two nephews also preceded her in death.

On February 12, 2017 the Angels descended from Heaven and sealed the lips of Mother Mary Alice (Honeybaby) Turner at her home in Woodland, Georgia.

She was a bright and shining star to all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren. She lived her life in church working faithfully as a member including choir and mother of the church.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories two daughters, Beverly and Tara (Jake) Turner both of Woodland, GA; two sons, James Barron and Stephen (Minister Sonia) Turner of Woodland, GA; one brother, Jack (late Betty)Barron of Atlanta, GA; three sister-in-laws, Paulene (Pastor Hershal) Chandler of Cleveland, OH, Sis. Lourene Thorton of Atlanta, GA, Helen Barron of Griffin, GA; seven grandchildren, Kelvin (Erica) Turner, Minister Jasamine (Minister Marcus) Jones of Phenix City, AL, Damien (Tiffany) Turner of Manchester, GA, Dabien (Stephanie) Turner of Harris County, GA, Timothy (Kesha) Turner of Talbotton, GA, Ricky Turner and Brianna Walton; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.
