Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Martha Dunlap on 5-29-2017.

Mrs. Martha Ann Dukes Dunlap was the tenth of fourteen children blessed to Leurenous (LW) and Willie Maude Dukes in Carroll County Georgia on January 27, 1953.

Martha better known as ”Mart” lived and worked in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked for Brooks Holding Company for 20 years and retired from Edwards Pie Company.

Martha was blessed with three children: Cassandra Dunlap Cross (Deceased), Antonio Dunlap, and Talesha Dunlap Bailey. She raised them in love, understanding, and compassion as a woman of God. She was a God-fearing woman that attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Gay, Georgia. She loved her church, her family, her children but most of all Her God!

Martha was always known for her unique commentary from simple sayings to telling you to turn to the Father above with your worries. She left this world on May 29th to be with her Father, she was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Leurenous and Mrs. Willie Maude Dukes; Daughter: Cassandra Dunlap Cross, Grandson: Javoris. Sisters: Carrie Moody and Lillie Dukes; Brothers: Sammie, Felton and Lonnie Dukes.

She leaves a multitude of family and friends to honor and celebrate her amazing life! One son: Antonio (Laquita) Dunlap; One daughter: Talesha Dunlap (Donovan) Bailey, both of Monroe, GA. Eight grandchildren: Meekoya, Antonio Junior, LaHiyza, Marquis, I’Aneria, Nichole, RianMichael and Aizen Nero. Eight siblings, five sister: Fannie (William) Harper, Annie Anthony, Linda Bonner, Pennie Hill and Patsie Parks; three brothers: Jessie, Charlie (Jackie), and Paul (Cindy) Dukes. Two aunts: Mrs. Gaudia Mae Jones and Mrs. Creamer (James) Coverson

; One uncle: Mr. Tyra Dunson. Mrs. Barbara Dukes and Mrs. Thelma Dukes. A long time friend Mrs. Dollie Cook and Mr. Damon Dorsey. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
