Obituary For Mark Anthony Jordan
With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Mark Anthony Jordan on February 18th, 2024
A Funeral service will be held on February 24th, 2024 at 1:30pm at Bread Of Life Ministries 1325 Hwy 29 S Newnan Ga 30263
Public viewing will be on the 23rd from 5 to 8 PM at the mortuary.
We respectfully announce the passing of Mark Anthony Jordan,
age 48, on February 18, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mark was born on February 04, 1976, to Mrs. Bonita Hinton
and Mr. Roger Herring, raised by Mr. Lewis Hinton. Mark
married Ms. Keanna Cheaves on February 21, 2009, in
Newnan, GA.
Mark received his education through the Coweta County
School System. He graduated from East Coweta High School
in 1995. He was granted the opportunity to graduate early and
attend Middle Georgia State University on a full football
scholarship. Later, he transferred on another full scholarship to
Mississippi State University.
Mark enjoyed cooking, fishing, sports (the ultimate die-hard
Indianapolis Colts fan), singing, and serving the Lord. He
became an ordained minister, serving the community of
Newnan, GA. He started his journey under Pastor Terrence
Brown of Fully Konnected Church in Newnan, GA. He served
under Apostle Virgil Smith of Bread of Life Ministries in
Newnan, GA until his death.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mr. Hugh
Harden, and Mr. Willie O Rosser, and great-grandparents Mr.
and Mrs. Willie C. Jordan (Flossie).
Mark leaves to cherish the memory his wife, Mrs. Keanna
Jordan. He also leaves two sons; Mr. Maurice Green and Mr.
Marqavious Jordan, along with their mother Ms. Taneisa
Contreras, one daughter; Ms. Khaliyah Cheaves, two
granddaughters; Miss Kendrah Cheaves and Miss Aaminah
Queen, Parents; Mr. And Mrs. Lewis Hinton (Bonita) and
Roger Herring, two God-brothers; Mr. and Mrs. Chyung
Wilkins (Markeshia) and Mr. Ramondo Wilkins, two sisters-in-
law; Ms. Ecchverria Cheaves and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Linton
(Tamara), one brother-in-law, Mr. Willie B. Champion III., two
aunties; Ms. Brenda Jordan and Ms. Leticia White, one
grandmother; Mrs. Margaret Harden, one great-aunt; Ms.
Mammie Johnson, two great-uncles Mr. and Mrs. George
Rufus Jordan (Debra) and Mr. James Edward Jordan, in-laws;
Mr. and Mrs. Freddy Cheaves ( Annette), Mr. and Mrs. Willie
B. Champion, Jr ( Shelley), and Ms. Synthia Berry, Special
friend Ms. Delia “Dee Dee” Thompson. As well as a host of
aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, teammates, and
friends.
