With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Marcus Prather on September 12th, 2022.

Funeral service will be Friday the 23rd at 1 PM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday 22nd.

Marcus Andrew Prather was born on August 2, 1968 in Newnan Georgia to Mrs. Mary Arnold and the late Horace James Brewster.

Marcus was educated in the Coweta County School System.

He held down several jobs. He enjoyed mechanical work on cars and he loved to eat his mother’s home cooked meals. Marcus had a loving caring smile and was well loved by many.

Marcus was preceded in death by his father, Horace James Brewster. Step father, Mr. Ronald Arnold, Aunt Mildred Brewster, uncles Jimmy C. Prather, Robert Lee Prather, John Thomas Cook (Tebo), Charlie Prather, Tony Brewster, Aaron Brewster, Leonard Brewster and Charles Brewster.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: Mother Mary Ann Arnold; Step mother, Patricia Brewster, LaGrange Ga; Sisters Genevra Gamble and Rhondell Arnold; Step sister: Cassandra Johnson, LaGrange, Ga; uncle, Leon Brewster, Columbus, Ohio; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Special friends, Jaunna Heflin, Deonte Jones, Rodney Reese, Rodney White, Jerry Anderson and Dennis Cotton; Special cousins, Willie Sutton, Chandra Alexander, Regina Brewster.
