Obituary For Leroy Rhodes

Mr. Leroy Rhodes was born on August 31, 1945 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Garnell (Willie Pearl) Rhodes. He received his wings early Friday morning on April 10, 2015.

Leroy was a member of Greater Jehovah Baptist Church for many years, he later joined Macedonia Baptist Church where he was a member until his health started to failed. He was a member of several Gospel Groups just to name a few, the ODM Gospel Singers, the Gospel Choraliers, the Jackson Gospel and the Gospel Witness.

Leroy was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Rosie M. Clark on March 4, 1976 and to this union five children were born; four surviving. He was employed with Brown Steel Company for many years.

Preceding him in death was one daughter, Ms. Paulette Rhodes; three brothers, Mr. Billy C. Rhodes, Mr. Benell Rhodes, and Mr. Dennis Rhodes; two sister-in-laws, Ms. Pearlie Wilburn, Ms. Mable Rosser; and one brother-in-law, Mr. Nathan Rosser.

Leroy leaves his loving memories to his wife Mrs. Rosie M. Clark Rhodes; six children: three sons, three daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis B. (Shanda) Rhodes of Newnan, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Deborah E. (Ronald) Holland of Dayton, OH, Ms. Tonya Y. Rhodes of Palmetto, GA, Mr. Vincent E. Hopson of Grantville, GA, Mr. Timothy A. Rhodes of Riverdale, GA, Ms. Paula A. Rhodes of Grantville, GA; seven grandchildren, Jasmine Monique Talley, Jarius Sanchez Rhodes, Devonte' E. Jamarkus Holland, Katori Jamal Hopson, Amber Bersha Hopson, Brianna Michelle Holland, Jamal Markell Hopson; four sisters, Ms. Susie Stegall, of Cincinnati, OH, Ms. Frances Dixson of Grantville, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Missie (Isaiah) Harris of Newnan, GA, Ms. Diana Daniel of Grantville, GA; two brothers, Mr. & Mrs. John Ira (Evelena) Rhodes, Mr. Napoleon Rhodes, both of Grantville, GA; seven sister-in-laws, Ms. Janie M. Rhodes, Ms. Thelma Jackson, both of Newnan, GA, Ms. Juanita Rhodes of Cincinnati, OH, Ms. Mary Clark, Ms. Cora Salter, Ms. Annette Forte, all of Atlanta, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Ola Mae (Ben) Dix of Luthersville, GA; three brother-in-laws, Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Dorothy) Clark of Luthersville, GA, Mar. Jerry Clark, Mr. Arnold Clark, both of Atlanta, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
