Obituary For Kelvin "Kep" Devon Bailey

Kelvin "Kep" Devon Bailey was born March 11, 1974 to Virginia Thompson and the late Horace Lee Bailey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Bailey, Sr., Mr. Rawson E. Thompson, Ola M. Houston, Willie Bailey, Jr., James Bailey; sister, Valerie Reeves; Uncle, Carmen Grier; Auntie Judy Stephens, Aunt Brenda K. Swindle.

He joined the Elim Baptist Church at an early age; and received his education in the Coweta County School System and graduated from East Coweta in 1994. He continued on to join the University of Georgia's Northwest District in 2003 as a 4H Specialist. There he taught educational programs and served as a lifeguard instructor. He was currently employed by Atlanta Sports and Social Club. He was a joy to all that met him and he never met a stranger.

He leave to miss him, a loving family, mother, Virginia Thompson; brother, Kenneth C. Thompson; sister, Tammie Woods; grandmother, Virginia S. Thompson (late Rawson Thompson); aunts, Evelyn Rosser, Linda Swindle, Mallonie Houston, Tracey (Anthony) Geter, Gloria Crook, Vivian Dominick, Betty Barber, Mae Dale (Alexander) and Wyvonia Solomon; uncles, Willie Thompson (Barbara), Chester I. Stephens (late Judy L. Stephens), Richard Swindle, Mark Houston, Travis Houston (Tiffany), and uncle Gene Bailey; and a host of cousins and friends.

Most people spend a lifetime searching for happiness and fulfillment, but at a young age Kep set out on his journey to serve, teach, and encourage others,

His leadership and work ethics inspired a generation of people much younger than himself and with the help of God, he changed lives through his tenacity to help nurture,

He truly loved his career and everyone he came in contact with. All loved him. As a University of Georgia 4H Leader, he was taught that mentoring enriches the lives of others. This was Kep's job as well as his life.

As we say our tender good byes, lets remember that when the opportunity presents itself, we should embrace the chance to do as Kep did . . . serve, uplift, and encourage one another.

We Say Farewell Kep, "Mission Accomplished."
