With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Joe Sinkfield on Tuesday January 16th, 2024.

A funeral service will be held January 21st, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Summer Hill Baptist Church Turkey Creek Rd Newnan GA.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 PM on Saturday the 20th at the mortuary.

Joe Lewis Sinkfield was born March 31, 1942, in
Meriwether County Ga. And went home to be with the
Lord on January 16, 2024 with his family by his side.

Joe Lewis was born to the late Willie Sr. and Henrietta
Sinkfield. He worked numerous jobs including driving a
dump truck to owning his own janitorial business. He
was a member of Mt. Sinai church family, where he
served on the usher board until health failed him. He was
a classic man and his favorite scripture was “Psalms 23”.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Willie Sr, and
Henrietta Sinkfield, two sisters’ Louise (Diddy) and Ella
Reese, one brother Johnny, and one son Michael
Sinkfield.

Joe Lewis Sinkfield leaves to cherish his loving
memories his children, Beverly (James) Patmon, Ray
(Marcel) Sinkfield, Johnny (Mary) Sinkfield, Octavius
Holt, Stephanie (Cornelious) Bellamy, Joetavious (Aisha)
Easley, Jamayel Easley, Demetrius Owens, and
stepchildren, Carnell, Emma, Angela, and Anthony
Herndon, his brothers, Willie Jr. (Glady) Sinkfield and
Arthur Sinkfield, his sister, Reva (Wesley) Favors, A host
of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
cousins and a host of friends. Special Thanks to Stacy
Houston for helping at a time when needed.
