Mr. Jessie C. Smith was born to the late Mr. Ulyess and Mrs. Pearline Coverson Smith.

Jessie departed this life October 12, 2020 surrounded by family. Jessie always loved to have fun. He loved to work outside landscaping and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Smith, Amos Smith and Patricia Smith.

Jessie Smith leaves to cherish his memories a long and devoted wife Clotee Smith; his son Jonathan Smith (Latedra Smith); four step children: Vincent Marshall (Tracey), Kiawanda Henry (Elbert), Rodney Patrick, Reginald Patrick; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; seven siblings: Lillie Cannon of Hamilton, GA, Nettie Smith and Catherine Smith both of Columbus, GA, Alfred Smith Sr. of Shiloh, GA, Susie Kimbrough of Phenix City, AL, Robert Smith and Betty (Jonathon) Williams both of Columbus, GA, Willie Smith of Hamilton, GA, and Della (Bobby) of Columbus, GA; five brother-inlaws and one sister-in-law; three uncles; two aunts; two special friends, Marvin Tucker, Sammy Lee Patrick; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives that will miss him dearly
