Obituary For James E. Watson

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of James E. Watson Saturday 3/10/2018.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, March 17, 2018 1:00 p.m. China Grove Baptist Church Turin, Georgia

Visitation Friday 1 to 6 pm at Sewell Mortuary.

INTERMENT: Elder Mill Cemetery

James E. Watson was born July 15, 1945 in Florida to Lena Conner, but was raised by Emmie Conner and Joe Watson, along with two brothers, Willie Carl and Joe Curtis Watson; five sisters, Polly Tigner, Eloise Watson, Katherine Copeland, Minnie Williams and Emmie Kate Webb. Three preceded him in death; four biological brother and sisters, Eddie McMillian, Charles Bell, Carolyn Bell and Delois Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife for forty-nine years, Bessie and two kids, Garry Watson and Belinda Davenport. He raised three other kids, Amy Shafi, Tiffany White, and Chris White; fourteen grandkids and two great-grandkids; two sons-in-law; mother-in-law, Jessie Kate Robinson; five brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; best friend, Hubert Bridges.

He attended Central High and Eastside Schools. He retired from Bonnell and went to work for Brian Reimer, working with horses for eight years. He loved horses and fishing.

He was a member of Rocky Mt. Baptist Church. He later moved his membership to China Grove Baptist Church.

He has a host of nieces and nephews.

    In the scriptures death is clearly explained. Furthermore the Bible not only reveals why we die but also explain the condition of the dead and offers hope for our deceased loved ones .Finally , it speaks of a momentous time when it will be possible to report " Death is swallowed up forever " 1Corinthians 15:54 .......................I am sorry about your loss.
