Jacqueline Elaine Douglas known as "Baby" was born January 21, 1955 to the late Doris "Teen" Godfrey and William James Godfrey. Early in her life, Jacqueline "Baby" Douglas decided to accept Christ as her lord and Savior and became a member of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was known around Meriwether County where she was active in the community as a dedicated and well respected woman. She worked all her life to provide and support her family. Jacqueline was employed at Lanier Clothing of Greenville, Ga for many years until she decided to leave and go to Warm Springs, Ga to continue out her working days as a certified CNA.
Jacqueline "Baby" Douglas was joined together in Holy Matrimony to her husband Henry Lee Douglas on May 15th, 1986 in Fulton County, Ga. Into this union they were blessed with love and devotion which was shared with happiness and laughter. Into this union they combined and shared three children.
Jacqueline was a strong woman. She enjoyed her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, basically everyone loved her and her gospel music. There were times when she had to make sacrifices for her family, but the Lord always provided.
Jacqueline "Baby" Douglas was an adoring and down to earth person. She loved to shop, eat out, and in the mist of it all she had her can of CC snuff.
"Baby" had seen and been through many things in her 67 years of living, but with the Lord above, God sought her through. Jacqueline shared some good times but on October 10th, "Baby" heard an angel whisper in her ear her name ever so sweetly, saying you have fought a good fight, you have kept the faith, you have finished your course, no more pain and suffering and no more medicine, come on my child I have prepared a place for you".
