Obituary For Hamilton Hall Jr.

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA is sad to announce the passing of Mr. Hamilton Hall, on February 20th, 2016.

Funeral Service: Saturday February 27th, 12:00 PM at Russell Temple AME Church, Newnan Georgia.

Visitation is Friday February 26th from 10:00 to 7:30 at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA.

Hamilton “Hamp” Hall, Jr., was born May 24, 1951 to the late James Hamilton Hall and Lorina Stevenson Hall. He was born the second of ten children. He departed this life on February 20, 2016 at the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Fuqua Heart Center.

He was married to Bernice Miller Hall for 41 years. To this union, two children were born. He was a graduate of the Central High School Class of 1970. He was employed by Newnan Hospital for many years until his retirement. After his retirement he started his own business, B&H Distributors, which was his and his grandsons’ passion. He was a member of Russell Temple AME Church. He was a God fearing man who truly loved his church and his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Bernice; two daughters, Tabitha Hall (Clinton Dunlap) and Kristy Hall; 3 grandchildren, Tamelia “Millie”, Taylen, and Cayleb; 5 brothers, Steve (Diane) Hall, Bobby Hall, Edward (Tommy) Hall, Michael (Ann) Hall, Randy (Dorothy) Hall; Four sisters, Diane (Larry) Reed, Linda (Wayne) Herndon, Rita Pender, Gloria Hall; mother-in-law, Julie Barber; sister and brother-in-laws, Priscilla (Eugene) Penson, Judy Rosser, Brenda Barber, Monique Barber, Lawrence (Rita) Barber, Cedric Barber, Fredric (Janet) Barber, Lamar Barber, Jr; two aunts, Virginia Thompson, Edwina Stevenson; three uncles, Louis Stevenson, Rufus Stevenson, and Edward Stevenson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He loved his family dearly and will be truly missed by his love ones.

    As a lifelong friend and classmate of Hamilton's it brings great sorrow to my heart to hear of his passing. He was full of love and laughter and will sorely be missed by myself and the Historical Central High class of 1970. Our prayers to the family and friends.
