With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of George McCauley Jr, on August 24, 1982-January 6, 2022

Graveside service will be at 2 PM on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at Mt Venus Baptist Church in Gay Ga.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel on the 15th.

George McCauley Jr. departed from his earthly life to be with Jesus on January 6, 2022.

George was born to George and Mary McCauley on August 24,1982 in Griffin, GA. As a child, he excelled in school and actively served at Mount Venus Baptist Church.

George was engaged to Shantel Wilson. He was an awesome father and role model to four wonderful children, Alonah, Elijah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah. Together, they loved exploring new places.

In addition, to being a dedicated and loving father, George also enjoyed watching sports, spending time with his family and friends, grilling, listening to his favorite artists, and meeting new people. Throughout his entire life, he always made those around him laugh with his remarkable sense of humor.

George joins his grandparents, Charlie McCauley Sr, Virgil and Elizabeth Prather, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Heaven. He is survived by his fiance, Shantel Wilson, his parents, George and Mary McCauley, sister, Latecia Todd (Quinton), and his children, Alonah Cage, Elijah Cage, Jeremiah McCauley and Zechariah McCauley.

He will be forever missed, however we know that he is in a better place because, in George’s own words, ‘God Got Me’
