He leaves behind, his wife, Mattie Pearl Gates; children, Wilford Gates, Frank Gates, Gary Gates (deceased), Faye Harris, Kathy Gates, Mildred Gibbs, Richard Gibbs, Clark Gibbs, Terry Gates, Linda Gates, Bobby James, Milton, James, Leonard Gates; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sibling, Jessie Graham; a host of family and friends.
Waiting in Heaven: Mother, Otha Hill (Smith); Father, Otis Gates; sons, Gary Gates and Gregory Gates.
