Obituary For Fannie Whatley
With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Fannie Mae Whatley on Monday, March 15th, 2021.
Graveside service will be Monday, March 22nd, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery in Newnan GA.

Fannie Mae Whatley was born to the late J. P. and Mollie Williams (Smith).
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Whatley, Jr.
Fannie affectionally known as “Fan” was well known and loved within the Fairmont Community. She was always there to help others, listen and provide a comforting word. She loved and was a God fearing person.
She joined St. Peter’s Baptist Church at an early age. She was baptized and served faithfully on the usher board. She continued to visit until her health became an issue.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Dr. Jacqueline Thompson of Hollywood, FL; son, Jonathan Whatley (Eleanor) of Newnan, GA; she will be sorely missed by her seven grandchildren, Army Sgt. Shawyn Thompson (Tygen) of Fort. Drum, NY, David Thompson of Hollywood, FL, Army Spec. Jarrett Thompson of Fort Riley, KS, Jennifer Powell (China) of Newnan, GA, Jessica Jackson of Decatur, GA, Jonathan Percy Whatley, Jr. (Shanquita) of Newnan, GA and Army Johnny Jackson, Korea; she also leaves to cherish her eight great grandchildren. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone. There are special people that she called upon all the time: Sophia Newsome, Rosella Moreland, Ozzie Dennis, Caroline Hall, Charles Carver, Sandra (Deenie) Adams and many other family and treasured friends.
