The funeral service will be held on Saturday the 13th. 12:00 PM at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville.

Ethellyne Watson was the first child born to the late Hoyt and Amagene
Goode on September 17, 1939, in Heard County, Georgia. As a child,
her parents relocated to Newnan, Georgia. There she attended Coweta
County Schools. She had one son in 1956, and shortly after she met and
married Otis White, to which that marriage was dissolved.

Ethellyne moved to Atlanta in her early years, living there for several
years, before relocating back to Newnan, Georgia where she met and
married Willie James Watson who died in 1976. She started a career as a
seamstress at Blyle Manufactures until her retirement. After retirement,
she decided to become a certified nurse assistant until her mom became
ill. At that time, she decided to retire permanently to take care of her
mom full time.

Ethellyne loved to sew, and sewed beautifully, making her own clothes
at times. She was a fantastic cook, frying chicken, and grilling meats to
perfection, and often baking cornbread for her son. Towards the end of
her life, she started studying the bible with Jehovah's witnesses and
becoming a dear friend with sister Yvette Horsford who taught her
God’s name is Jehovah (Ps. 83:18) and to have hope in his promise (Rev
21:3,4) of a beautiful future, which soon lies ahead. (Is.33:24) and his
promise of the resurrection. (John 5:28)

Ethellyne became ill after caring for her mom, and later moved in with
her son Randy who cared for her until her death. She died peacefully on
Sunday March 31, 2024 at Southwest Christian Care Hospice in Union
City, Georgia.

Ethellyne was preceded in death by her husband Willie James Watson,
her parents Hoyt and Amagene Goode and her two brothers Mr. Horace
Goode and Mr. Floyd Goode.

She leaves to cherish her loving son Randy White, and daughter-in-law
Jill. Her brother Mr. Curtis Gould (Dorothy) of Los Angeles, California.
Sister, Mrs. Anna (Susie) Kirby of Dayton, Ohio; sister in laws, Eleanor
Goode, and Phylis Goode, 6 grandchildren: Mrs. Relena Smith (Kieven),
