With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Edna Tennie on March 16th, 2020.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday 3/21/2020 at 12:00 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Luthersville.

Visitation will be Friday at the mortuary from 4 to 6 pm.

Edna Pearl Tennie was born November 1, 1945 to the late Eddie and Corene Tennie who preceded her in death. She was the 6 th of 10 siblings. She departed this life on March 16, 2020.

She joined Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Reeves. She attended Luthersville Elementary School and Greenville High School.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Sarah Tennie Bynum, Betty Ann Tennie and one brother, Willie Lee Tennie.

She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Lovetta Lorenzo Tennie, Carl Pope, C. B. (Ruby) Pope, Quentin (Trinia) Tennie; five sisters, Emma Lou (Willie) Woods, Jessie Lou (John Edward) Murrah, Christine (James) Nelson, Joanne (Paul) Cleckler, Tommie Lou Tennie; one brother, George (Carolyn) Tennie; twenty-seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, great niece and great nephew and friends.
