Obituary For Demontrae Davison

With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Demontrae Davison on January 12th, 2021.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday January 19th, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

*Mask must be worn. 40 people maximum in the Chapel.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM at the Mortuary on January 18th.

A Time to Be Born Mr. Demontrae Davison was born April 14, 1976 to Diane Davison and Mr. Dennis James Tanner.

A Time to Grow Demontrae attended Carmen Elementary School and graduated from Waukegan High School, Class of 1994.

A Time to be Love Demontrae relocated to Georgia after high school in 1994. There he met his life-mate, Yolanda Dickerson, and united in Holy Matrimony February 19, 1999. To this union two daughters and one son were born - Sequoia Lillian Nina, Tyhira Lanae, and Demontrae, Jr.

A Time to Achieve Demontrae was employed by Bonnell Aluminum for years. He later was employed by Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation and remained there until his demise. Demontrae’s passion was his family, food truck and catering business, “Montrae’s Smokin’ Grill”. Demontrae traveled near and far providing his excellent southern BBQ cuisine.

A Time to Serve Demontrae united with Newness of Life Holiness Church. He was an ordained Deacon and involved in the music ministry

    It seems like yesterday we were kids and we would go on road trips. I remember you taking me and my cousin to the fair. You spent big money on us that night at the fair me tyhira and sequioa we had a blast. I will never forget all the road trips fun and laughter we all shared with you. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. Forever in our hearts will you be...... I love you uncle montrae!!!!!!
