Obituary For Charlotte Roberts

Charlotte Roberts passed on Sunday March 6th, 2016.

Funeral service is Saturday March 12th, 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Roscoe Road in Newnan GA.

Mrs. Charlotte Elaine Roberts was born June 20, 1949 to the late Mr. Jessie Graham & Rosa Graham; Charlotte was the eldest of 6 children and she took her role very serious always there for her brothers and sister at any time of the day or night.

She graduated with Central High School Class of 1969. She worked in various fields, but found her niche when she began working as a CNA, caring for the elderly and disabled. Her love for people made this not just a job but a career.

In 1968, her best achievement happened when she gave birth to her only son Robert, and from that day until her last she was a doting mother to her son and his family.

In 2011 Charlotte was united in matrimony to Mr. Leslie Roberts, in this union she gained a stepdaughter Mrs. Telia White (Corey).

Charlotte had a love of music especially the blues and sixties old school. She was also very fond of gospel quartets and groups, Charlotte along with her three best friends Mary Geter, Annetha Lowe and Ann Glanton formed the Righteous Brothers of Newnan, GA Fan Club.

Mrs. Charlotte Elaine Roberts departed this life on March 6, 2016 at Grady Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her brother Jessie, her son, her daughter in law, and her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, her son Mr. Robert Menefee (Andrea) and the apple of her eye her granddaughters Daja (Peaches) Raleigh, NC, Brittney Menefee, Minneapolis, MN, Daniel Menefee, Columbus, GA and Elissa Menefee, Newnan, GA., one step grandson Corey White, Jr. Sister Geneva Gilstrap, four brothers Mr. Lamar Cook (Amy), Mr. Timothy Cook (Sharon), Mr. Johnny Cook (Mary), Mr. Jessie Graham (Patsy), all of Atlanta, GA. Four brother in laws, Mr. Michael Roberts (Dorothy), Mr. Grady Roberts, Mr. Willie Roberts (Celeste), Mr. Carl Roberts (Laurie), one sister in law, Sarah Hinton. A very special longtime friend and confidant Mrs. Mattie Watson Ogletree.
