Funeral Service May 12th, 2018 1:00 pm at New Life Church 306 North Bethel St. in Thomaston.
Visitation is May 11th, 2018 from 1 to 6:00 pm at K. K. Sewell Funeral Home in Manchester GA.
Sister Cathy Wynell Marshall Jordan, age 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home in Thomaston, GA, after a short illness. She was born August 3, 1959, in Talbotton, GA to the late Mr. Eddie Marshall and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Marshall. She was the seventh of twelve children, two brothers who preceded her in death, Larry and Hardie Marshall.
Cathy was a 1978 graduate of Central High School, Talbotton, GA.
She professed her life to God at an early age joining the Shady Grove Baptist Church. She moved to Thomaston, GA in 2012 where she joined the New Life Church. She enjoyed working and serving in the church, especially on the Hospitality Committee.
She was one of the kindest, hard-working person one could ever meet. She opened her heart, her soul and her home to many children over the years. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was always thinking and helping others first. She kept a smile on her face even during her illness and the hardships of life. “To know her was to love her.”
She worked many years in Textile at Thomaston Mill, Martha Mill, Thomaston, GA. Presently, she was employed at Ten Cate Protective Fabrics, Zebulon, GA.
She leaves: Three devoted and loving daughters who will miss her dearly, Mrs. Lashanda (Pressley) Williams of Columbus, GA, Ms. Shantina Jordan of the Salem Community, PFC Andrea Jordan of Fort Jackson, SC; Grandchildren: Lazaria Wright, Camron, Kendra and Kahmari Williams and Kenzie Jordan; Sisters, Shirley Marshall, Yvonne Marshall of Talbotton, GA, Jerline Johnson of Columbus, GA, Queen Marshall of Pine Mountain, GA and Betty Rogers of Warner Robins, GA; brothers: Radford Marshall, Timothy Marshall and Glen Marshall all of Talbotton, GA, Thornton (Yvonne) Marshall of Forest Park, GA, Mr. Calvin Marshall of Lithonia, GA and Luther (Cassandra) Middlebrooks of Thomaston, GA; two aunts: Virginia McGhee of Orlando, FL and Ruby Kimbrough of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, Willie (Carrie) Marshall of Waverly Hall, GA; a host of special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, some she raised as her own, devoted friend, Magdaline W. Ellerbee, God daughter, Kennedy Kendall, cousins and other relatives and friends.
