Obituary For Bobby Lee Reeves

Sewell Mortuary respectfully announces the passing of Bobby Reeves on 1-3-2017.

Funeral Service is Tuesday 01-10-2017 at 1:00 PM from Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Greenville, GA.

Visitation is Monday from 11 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville, GA.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, Mr. Bobby Lee Reeves departed from this world and he is now resting.

He was the son of the late Margaret and Willie Norman Reeves, Sr. He attended Greenville Consolidated High School, and at an early age joined Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Greenville, Georgia. Bobby was a hard working man and in June of 1977 he began his career as a railroad track engineer for CSX Railroad where he worked for thirty-five years until he retired in March of 2012.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife of eight years, Shawntay Reeves; five children, Tamiko (Michael) Cummings of Fairburn, GA, Nicholas Reeves of Newnan, GA, Latasha (Roderick) Barber of Peachtree City, GA, Rodrigues Reeves of Fairburn, GA, Didi Reeves of Union City, GA; two step-children, De’shawn Grimes and Deion Grimes of Union City, GA; two sisters, Margie Reeves Cooper of Greenville, GA, Rebecca (Tony) Head of Griffin, GA; two brothers, Charles (Ella) Reeves of Oxon Hill, MD, Simon (Beatrice) Reeves of Greenville, GA; ten grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; one special friend (cousin) Laymon Prather. Preceded in death were two brothers, Willie Norman Reeves, Jr. and Alfred Reeves; one sister, Annie Lillian Reeves; and one grandson, Omarion Smith.
