Beverly Jean Hines Hamilton, 78, of Grantville, Georgia, transitioned on August 25, 2022, after a long illness.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, September 1st at 11 AM at Grantville City Cemetery. Private visitation will be held on August 31st.

Beverly was born on December 21, 1943, to Thomas (Bob) and Louise Hill Hines in Grantville, Georgia. Beverly attended the public schools of Coweta County and graduated from Central High School (Newnan, Ga.) in 1962. During her high school years, she thoroughly enjoyed attending John Wesley United Methodist Church on Sundays. On Sunday evenings, she had the pleasure of attending the movies in Hogansville, Ga. as the guest of a neighbor who was employed at the theater. After graduating from high school, she continued to live with her parents in Grantville.

In 1972, Beverly married Ernest Hamilton, Jr. of Grantville and from this union one child, Debra Denise Hamilton, was born. Before Jean became a mother, she helped to care for her nephews and nieces. Once she had her daughter, Jean committed her life to caring for her child.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. Hines, Sr.; Mother, Louise Hill Hines; Sister, Lois E. Dye (John); Sister, Maye F. Harrison (Eugene); Brother, Dr. Thomas E. Hines, Jr. (Peggy) and Brother, Robert L. Hines (Jannette).

Beverly leaves to cherish her memories to her sister Dorothy A. Moss; her brother, Henry A. Hines (O’Vaughn); her daughter, Debra Denise Hamilton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
