K. K. Sewell Funeral Home in Manchester respectfully announces the passing of Barbara A. Brown on September 22nd, 2018.

Funeral service Saturday the 29th, 12:00 PM at Valley Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation is September 28th, 1:30 to 6:00 PM at KK Sewell Funeral Home.

A beautiful flower, Sister Barbara Ann Holmes Brown was selected by God on Saturday, September 22, 2018 to be add to his heavenly bouquet.

The lovely Barbara was born to the late Thomas and Willie Mae Copeland Holmes on May 19, 1948 in Talbot County, GA. She is the baby of the family and held that title well!

She graduated from Ruth Carter High School in Talbotton, GA in May of 1966.

She became a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church at an early age, she was a loyal and faithful servant, she served on the Usher Ministry faithfully until her death.

She was employed with Milliken for 42 years.

Barbara was a kind and classy woman with a loving and giving spirit.

She was an avid gardener and loved her plants and flowers, no leaves were welcome in her yard, and cooking her Sunday dinners for the family was her specialty. Her transition was preceded by six of her sibling, Willie C. Holmes, Louise Holmes, Bertha Harvey, Tommie L. Holmes, Inez Dixon and Abraham Holmes.

She leaves seven sibling to treasure her memories, Georgia Rolax, Carrie Walton, Laura Holmes, Robert Holmes (Imogene), Martha Harris, Bennie C. Holmes and Ray Holmes; her brother and sisters in-laws, Jim Dixon, Vonelle Holmes and Dorothy Holmes; All of her nieces and nephews who were her favorite, she loved all of them the same, cousins and friends she loved you as well.
