Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Annie L Foster on 8/18/2018.
Funeral Service is 8/24/18, 12:00 noon at Mt Sinai Baptist Church in Gay GA.
Visitation is 8/23/18 from 3:30-6pm at Sewell Mortuary.
Today we celebrate a proverbs 31 woman of God, Lois. On August 18, 2018 God chose a beautiful rose for his bouquet Annie Lois Foster a woman of grace. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Alice Mitchell. Born April 26,1938, in Meriwether county. Annie Lois joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She was joined in holy matrimony to Eddie B Foster on June 14,1963, with whom she bore 6 children. Though this union, she became faithful serving at New Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, Ga. She served faithful in the church choir for several years. She traveled near and far with the Georgia Choir Association every other month for several years. One of her favorite songs which she led in the choir was “There’s a Leak in This Old Building”. After the death of her husband, she visited 2 other churches faithfully for several years. She was a kind and warm spirit, a joy to be around. She loved God and gave her life to Christ at a young age. Annie was a faithful wife a mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Annie worked at Air Host Inn for many years. After her third child she became a housewife. In her healthy stages of life her favorite thing to do was to go fishing. She was known in the neighborhood as the candy lady. She was the neighborhood babysitter, who braided almost everybody’s hair in the neighborhood. Annie planted gardens and fed her family off of the land. She was a seamstress who made clothes for her whole family. She loved to sing, dance, bake, read and sew. Annie was a great cook and was one of the best cake bakers in the area. One of her many specialties was her vanilla pound cake. She loved life and she loved people and would give her last to help anyone. Annie leaves to cherish her memory and legacy daughter, Debbie Ann Cook (Rhoderick); Grandson whom she raised, Sherod Foster; sons, David Foster, Timothy Foster; Daughter in love, Tina Foster; (6) Grandaughters, Jelisa Cook, Camille Cook, Tremicia Foster, Denise Owens, Carnithia Jimpson, Viviana Foster, Yolanda Strickland; Grandson, Quan Foster; (4) great-grands; Special mentions niece, Lisa Deelainer Ferrell; Five sisters. Beatrice Ferrell, Leatrice Ferrell, Rosetta Smith and Jeanette McGill; and one brother, Leroy Mitchell; Sisters in Love, Mary Foster (Willie Roger), Geraldine Lyons, Pattie Foster, Julia Florence, Dorothy Hine and Christine Huiel; Brothers in Love, Ralph Foster (Katie), Johnny Foster (Verdell); a host of nieces & nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Annie were preceded in death by her daughters, Renea and Synethia; Son, Larry Donnell; five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Campbell, Betty Jean Hunt, Thelma Alexander, Dora Burden, Jessie Mae Andrews; sister in love, Mattie Pearl Hill; her husband, Eddie B Foster; brother, John H Mitchell; brother-in-Laws, Blount C. Ferrell, John Smith, Eddie James McGill, James Ferrell, Willie Roger Foster, Eugene Foster, CW Foster.
