Obituary For Annie B. Taylor

On Friday, April 23, 2016, God needed an angel to sing in the heavenly choir so He decided to pick Annie B. Taylor, known as Auntie. He came at the midnight hour.

Annie B. Taylor (Auntie) was born November 17, 1948 to the late Cosby and Grace Taylor. She was the youngest of six kids. She preceded her death with her male friend, Willie B.; her parents, Mr. Cosby and Grace Taylor; her three sisters, Alice Dowdell (Roy), Carrie Bell Cochran (Duke), Rosie Mae Haynes (James); two brothers, Bill Taylor and George Taylor, both of Birmingham, Alabama.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews; her aide Judia M. Grunden. Judia became a close friend to her. She didn't mind taking her to her hospital visits and she took Auntie to see the Wizard of Oz, which she really enjoyed.

Auntie would call you at anytime just to check on you. When you called her and ask her "what'ch doing", she would say "sitting down." She was very straight to the point about what she was doing. Some of her favorite words were "Yes sir!", "I know that's right", "sho nuff", "My name is Annie, I'm not in that mess", "I want to thank the Lord one more time", and if you ask her did she have any money, she would say "I don't have any American money, no Japanese, no Chinese money either."

She attended Elementary and High School in Anniston, Alabama.

Auntie Annie showed so much love for her family. She was around the upbringing of all her great nieces and nephews. She changed many pampers in her times. She enjoyed drawing, coloring, writing, her church family and her church. She joined Souls for Christ COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Hayes Clayton, Sr. and Marleen Clayton. She was baptized on July 20, 2014 in the obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. She helped out in the fellowship hall and cleaning the church, wherever she was needed she was there to help.

To know her was to love her. She was a very special person.

Gone But Not Forgotten.
